Purchasing Manager – High-Tech Manufacturing | Dripping Springs, TX
Are you a strategic and detail-oriented purchasing professional looking to lead a growing team? Our client, a rapidly expanding high-tech manufacturer near Dripping Springs, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations, supplier relationships, and cost-saving initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role with a company that values innovation and efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage the purchasing team, ensuring smooth daily operations and goal achievement.
- Research, evaluate, and secure the best deals on parts and materials.
- Generate and manage purchase orders based on production needs and forecasts.
- Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery, addressing any issues proactively.
- Oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support product development and operational efficiency.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies, quality concerns, and supplier performance issues.
- Utilize ERP systems (Epicor preferred) for procurement and inventory management.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing and supply chain management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of demand-pull material planning and purchasing strategies.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership skills with the ability to drive team success.
