Our client in Austin is a leader in advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology and has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer. This person will play a key role in inspecting parts and assemblies used in complex manufacturing tools, with a focus on tracking and improving quality, accuracy, and cleanliness. JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Inspect mechanical and electro-mechanical parts as they arrive from suppliers or move through internal assembly
· Review engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs to ensure parts meet design and quality standards
· Track and resolve quality issues in collaboration with supply chain and engineering teams
· Develop and maintain calibration schedule for tools used in manufacturing
· Maintain accurate inspection records and support documentation for quality audits
· Assist with system build and test activities as needed, including work in a cleanroom environment
· This is an in-office job with hours M-F ~8 am -5 pm. There may be some very occasional overtime or weekend work required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider non-degreed candidates with relevant experience
· Experience inspecting precision parts or assemblies, ideally in a cleanroom or lab setting
· Comfortable using basic inspection tools and maintaining quality documentation
· Proficient with Excel and general computer tasks; experience with databases is a plus
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
