The person in this role will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes for next generation semiconductor tools, with a focus on defect characterization, mitigation, and metrology support. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Develop and optimize processes for advanced semiconductor manufacturing tools

  • Design, execute, analyze, and document experiments using DOE and statistical analysis methods

  • Operate wafer inspection systems and metrology tools; perform routine maintenance on imprint and metrology equipment

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and customers to identify requirements and implement defect-reduction strategies

  • Coordinate and qualify client tools and technologies for specific customer applications

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide applications support

  • Contribute to intellectual property development, including patents

  • Domestic and international travel up to ~10%


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other relevant engineering/physical science discipline

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on semiconductor processing experience

  • Experience with DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical analysis; proficiency with JMP or similar software

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Lithography experience and prior contributions to patents or patent applications are a plus

  • Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment and lift up to 25 lbs as needed
