Job Full Description
Our client in North Austin is looking to add a Certified Soldering Technician to their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of soldering experience and level II or III IPC soldering certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with high temperature soldering (SM-96) and de-soldering skills. This is a direct hire opportunity M-F/8:00am-4:30pm paying $23-$26.00/hour depending on experience and great benefits.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, solder, build/re-build, and test high-precision electronics for oil & gas applications
- Communicate with team lead on work progress, issues and idea
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by adhering to established policies and procedures
- Use an oscilloscope and other electronic test instruments to troubleshoot and test products
- Utilize wiring diagrams for point-to-point soldering and assembling components.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-3 years soldering and electronic assembly experience
- IPC Soldering certification required or related certification
- Experience with level III Soldering experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of SM-96 high-temperature soldering
- Oscilloscope or other electronic test instruments
- Understanding of simple wiring diagrams for point-to-point soldering
