Schedule: Hybrid (In-Office: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | Remote: Tuesday, Friday)
Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000+ annually

Lead High-Impact Electrical Engineering Projects

An established engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join its growing MEP practice in Austin, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical engineering efforts on complex building projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

 

What You'll Do

As the Electrical Project Manager, you will function as both the lead electrical engineer and project manager, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and client expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering

  • Perform electrical engineering analysis, calculations, and system design.
  • Develop electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Prepare project cost estimates and technical reports.
  • Conduct site observations and construction administration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and national codes.
  • Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering design tools to support project delivery.

 

Project Management

  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate electrical design efforts with plumbing, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
  • Lead project meetings and technical reviews.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide project-level technical leadership to engineers and designers.
  • Support quality control and quality assurance initiatives.

 

Business Development

  • Assist with project pursuits, proposals, estimating, and scoping.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for additional MEP services.
  • Support marketing and business development initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Active Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • 8–10+ years of electrical engineering experience preferred.
  • Project management experience within consulting engineering or MEP design.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and applicable codes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

 

Preferred

  • Electrical commissioning experience or familiarity with commissioning processes.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary MEP projects.
  • Strong client-facing project leadership experience.
