Job Full Description

Job Title: Electrician Helper/Journeyman (Depending on Level of Experience) 

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  2. Handle and organize tools, materials, and equipment under the direction of the lead electrician.
  3. Perform basic tasks such as running wires, drilling holes, and mounting fixtures following safety protocols and industry standards.
  4. Aid in the setup and cleanup of work areas, ensuring they are kept clean and orderly.
  5. Learn to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions to assist in electrical installations.
  6. Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying and retrieving necessary tools and materials for repairs.
  7. Follow all safety procedures and regulations to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  9. Assist in the maintenance and calibration of tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in the electrical field through on-the-job training and educational resources.
  11. Experience bending conduit and terminating.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Basic understanding of electrical concepts and terminology is preferred.
  3. Eligible to acquire Apprentice licensing with TDLR or have current license.
  4. Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
  5. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment.
  6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  7. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians.
  8. Excellent communication skills.
  9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for certain assignments.
