Job Title: Preventative Maintenance Mechanic – Heavy Equipment

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, and more.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
Check fluid levels, filters, belts, hoses, and other critical components.
Document all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in equipment logs.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to coordinate service schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and manufacturer guidelines.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance preferred.
2+ years of experience in preventative maintenance or mechanical repair of heavy equipment.
Strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret service manuals and schematics.
Basic welding and fabrication skills a plus.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions.
