Job Title: Quality Associate

Location: Beaumont, Texas
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: Quality Manager / Operations Manager


Position Summary

The Quality Associate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable industry and client standards. This position supports the organization’s commitment to quality by ensuring that processes, documentation, and production standards consistently meet or exceed requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and proven experience in quality assurance and management systems.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certification.

  • Conduct internal quality audits and lead audit preparation for external audits (customers, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies).

  • Manage and track audit findings, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and follow-up activities to ensure timely resolution.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to integrate quality processes with business objectives.

  • Oversee document control, ensuring that quality documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with ISO and company standards.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality manuals.

  • Promote and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies.

  • Conduct training sessions for employees on QMS processes, audit readiness, and quality best practices.

  • Analyze and report quality performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending process improvements.

  • Support root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Implement visual management tools and systems to enhance transparency of quality performance across operations.


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or related field (preferred).

  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent credential (preferred).

  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing quality control or assurance systems in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or related quality management standards.

  • Experience coordinating certification, registration, and customer audits.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software.

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies (preferred).
