Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, fitting, and welding metal components with precision and efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:

Fit and weld structural steel and metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Perform MIG and/or Stick welding on mild steel and heavy plate materials.

Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.

Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely, including torches, grinders, and cutting machines.

Measure, cut, and align parts accurately before welding.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all company safety protocols.

Assist with general fabrication, assembly, and production duties as needed.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years of welding/fitting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).

Proficient in MIG welding; additional experience with Stick or Flux-Core welding a plus.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.

Strong understanding of metal fabrication techniques and safe welding practices.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.

Reliable, safety-minded, and committed to producing quality work.
Preferred:

AWS or similar welding certification.

Experience in heavy steel fabrication, trench/shoring, or mat production environments.
