Pump Technician
A local Port Arthur company is searching for a Pump Technician. Over all responsible for ensuring designated work assigned is completed to corporate guidelines. Acts as expert in the Pump Field, knows all equipment and can demonstrate complete knowledge when asked. Understands Preventative Maintenance on Self-priming and standard centrifugal pumps. Understands how to interpret all gauge readings and control systems on most pumps. Understands and can demonstrate pressure readings and how they are effected by operational cycles. Can diagnose and repair all pumps including electrical submersible, air Diaphragm, hydraulic, and high pressure diesel pumps. Must have experience working with Cornel and Godwin pumps of all sizes.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensures all appropriate KPI’s are met.
3. Assist with any continuous improvement initiatives within designated department
4. Maintain a safe work environment to include ensuring all personnel adhere to all safety rules wile in the yard and shop area.
5. Demonstrate the ability for conflict resolution and problem solving.
6. Demonstrate ability to pro-actively identify issues, propose and implement solutions
7. Communicate service issues to management.
8. Ability to positively respond to and interact with other company personnel, customers, and vendors in daily operations.
9. Retain overall ownership of assigned segments of business
10. Help in all other areas of operations as directed by Supervisor
