Job Title: Material Handler
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Inventory/Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling large inventory items. This role is responsible for managing, tracking, and distributing materials, including long-length items, in a structured and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, verify, unload, and put away incoming inventory items (most items come in bundles that are 20’-0”+ in length).

Identify and stage materials from existing inventory in the yard for our Anchor Bolt Shop using “Pick Lists” provided by the Purchasing Department.

Move inventory items from the laydown yard to our Bolt Shop facility via forklift.

Count, sort, identify, and store remnants from the Bolt Shop back into inventory.

Transfer information in writing between the Bolt Shop and Purchasing Department.

Maintain a tidy and organized inventory yard where all materials are clearly identified and counted.

Conduct monthly cycle counts on current inventory items and report findings to the Purchasing Department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Forklift Experience Required

Strong numerical and counting skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively

Prior experience in inventory management is a huge plus

Experience handling materials 20’-0”+ in length is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using inventory management software

Previous warehouse or yard experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
