            Job Title: Receptionist / Legal Assistant (QDRO Support)

Reports To: QDRO Specialist / Office Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Receptionist with legal experience to join our team. This position plays a dual role — serving as the front-facing representative of our office while providing essential administrative and legal support to our QDRO drafting specialist. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with family law or retirement plan documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Administrative Support:
- 
Greet and assist clients, visitors, and callers in a professional and courteous manner
 
- 
Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, route to the appropriate team members
 
- 
Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and organize meetings
 
- 
Handle mail, scanning, copying, and file organization (both digital and physical)
 
- 
Maintain confidentiality and uphold firm policies at all times
 
Legal Support (QDRO Assistance):
- 
Assist with gathering, reviewing, and organizing client and plan documentation related to QDROs
 
- 
Maintain client files and ensure all necessary forms and data are up to date
 
- 
Prepare correspondence, cover letters, and routine legal documents under supervision
 
- 
Track case progress and follow up with clients, attorneys, or plan administrators as needed
 
- 
Enter data into document templates or case management systems
 
- 
Perform basic research or verification related to retirement plans and court documents
 
Qualifications:
- 
Required: 1–2 years of experience in a legal, administrative, or office setting
 
- 
Preferred: Experience in family law, QDRO preparation, or related legal documentation
 
- 
Strong written and verbal communication skills
 
- 
Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
 
- 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard office equipment
 
- 
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
 
- 
Professional demeanor and customer service mindset
 
Preferred Skills:
- 
Experience with legal case management software or document automation systems
 
- 
Familiarity with court filing procedures and document formatting standards
