Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for tracking, managing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure accurate stock records and smooth operations. This role plays a key part in preventing shortages, reducing excess inventory, and supporting purchasing.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records in inventory management systems

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies

  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to forecast inventory needs

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory

  • Prepare inventory reports and analyze trends (usage, shrinkage, turnover)

  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards

  • Recommend process improvements to improve accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain roles

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with inventory software and basic Excel skills

  • Ability to lift and move inventory as required

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)

  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices 

  • Bilingual-Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
