Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies electronically or via paper.

• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness; obtain missing information as needed.

• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for services rendered.

• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and initiate appeals when necessary.

• Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.

• Work with patients to resolve billing questions and collect outstanding balances.

• Maintain current knowledge of insurance regulations, coding changes, and billing procedures.
