Job Full Description
To excel as a Web Designer, a candidate must fulfill a number of important duties and responsibilities. They need to work closely with each customer so they can translate the customer’s thoughts into a visually appealing design. They are also responsible for turning that design into a functional site and uploading it to a web server. Other responsibilities include:
- Creating a suitable color scheme or incorporating the client’s color scheme into the design
- Coding the site’s navigation
- Designing buttons and other controls for the site
- Creating mock-ups of the site for the client’s approval
- Fixing any functionality issues, including the removal of “dead links”
- Updating and maintaining the site
- Making backup files of the site
Marketing Managers lead their company’s marketing and advertising divisions, overseeing the success of various marketing initiatives. Their typical duties and responsibilities include:
- Developing marketing strategies for advertising new products
- Organizing promotional events and coordinating day-of deliveries and staffing
- Leading and training teams of Marketing Associates
- Reviewing current marketing campaigns for weaknesses and developing solutions within budget constraints
- Analyzing website click-to-purchase conversion rates and the effectiveness of promotions
- Identifying potential new markets and ways to enter them
- Partnering with product development and buying teams to estimate product demand
- Brainstorming advertising ideas with senior management
