The Sales Manager is a critical player in an Express Employment Professionals office. This role is responsible for identifying potential business opportunities in the local community, increasing client count and gross margin by maintaining and developing business relationships. Increasing existing client base by using a Total Client Care sales approach in turning clients into 3- to 5-star accounts. This is done by contacting key decision makers through sales calls, by phone, and in-person, analyzing service needs, presenting the full range of service capabilities and ensuring overall client satisfaction. Successful people in this role are comfortable contacting and engaging with business people at all levels, selling intangible, critical business services. This requires the ability to use consultative selling techniques (communication skills, questioning, and listening techniques) and the discipline of being persistent while following a daily and weekly plan.
Main responsibilities:
- Make a combination of 75 sales activity calls including phone and in-person visits to lead to 60 decision makers calling 2 new clients a week.
- Develop new leads by making daily sales calls
- Document all calls in company contact Management System.
- Effectively meet with decision makers to assess needs to secure accounts
- Coach sales team on preparing a daily sales plan by utilizing the sales planner, territory management techniques, and scheduling follow-up calls.
- Effectively meet with decision makers to measure satisfaction level with Express, identify and present additional ways we can support said decision maker, identify addition decision makers within the organization and in working with the Business Developer, secure appointments with those decision makers to expand presences within account and sell Express Employment professionals.
- Effectively work with and communicate with Director of Operations.
- Supervise 3-5 sales staff
Skills and Experience:
• 5 years demonstrated inside or outside sales experience.
• 3 years experience managing and coaching a sales team
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM
Bilingual
