Job Full Description
Express Employment in Harlingen is looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for a client located in Weslaco. Some of the job duties consist of:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters to ensure equipment functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule and document work orders.
- Support safety protocols by adhering to industry standards for low voltage work, high voltage handling, and the use of scissor lifts or other field equipment.
- Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and reducing downtime.
- Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical drawings essential for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Skilled in operating programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to operate scissor lifts or similar equipment safely; familiarity with industrial safety protocols related to high voltage or complex machinery is required.
