Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Denton County is seeking a reliable and physically capable Brick Packager to support our client’s production operations. In this role, you will unload brick from kiln cars after the firing process and stack them into a rotating jig to form completed packages of brick. This position is fast‑paced, physically demanding, and essential to ensuring that production goals and quality standards are consistently met.
Schedule: M-F 4:00 AM start; 8–10 hour shifts; occasional Saturdays
Pay: $18/hr + overtime
Key Responsibilities
· Unload finished brick from kiln cars after the firing process.
· Stack brick into a rotating jig to create completed brick packages.
· Package up to 250,000 quality brick per day as part of the production team.
· Inspect bricks for correct color “shade,” identifying variations within the same color family (e.g., multiple shades of red or gray).
· Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality control throughout the shift.
· Perform work involving continuous bending, twisting, lifting, and repetitive motion.
· Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the entire shift.
· Comfortable with strenuous manual labor, repetitive motion, and fast-paced work.
· Non–climate controlled environment with exposure to heat, dust, and harsh conditions.
· Position is located next to the brick kiln — must be able to work in a VERY hot and challenging environment.
· Must have 20/20 vision (corrected or uncorrected) to accurately identify brick shades.
· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods.
