Role Description
This role is a full-time, on-site Staff Accountant position located in Houston, TX. We are seeking a Staff Accountant with experience in the manufacturing environment. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, journal entries on a daily basis, maintaining accurate records, and preparing financial statements. Day-to-day duties include reconciling accounts, organizing payroll, collaborating on month-end entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Coordination with other team members and supporting financial audits will also be expected.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in accounting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Handling inventory utilizing an ERP system
- Collaborating utilizing reports
- AR aging—collections
- Extremely advanced in Excel. For example, I have expertise in using pivot tables and formulas in Excel.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Familiarity with accounting software and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet tools
- Balancing sheet reconciliations
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Handling month-end duties
- Collaborating daily on journal entries
- Prior experience in the accounting or finance field is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
M-F 8am-5pm.
The salary ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
