Job Full Description
We are seeking a Quality Laboratory Technician to join our team! You will conduct chemical and mechanical testing to determine quality of raw material, intermediate and finished products.
Responsibilities:
- Machine or mill test specimen for mechanical testing
- Prepare test samples from provided material coupons for chemical testing
- Test in-process materials, raw materials, and finished products
- Write technical reports or documentation such as testing reports
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits
- Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment
- Reject products or materials not meeting specifications
- Clean and maintain measuring instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, calipers, fixed gages, and height gages
- Ensure that laboratory cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
- Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods or protocols.
- Prepare or review required method transfer documentation including technical transfer protocol or reports.
- Be able to read, comprehend and adhere to the company’s Process Management System requirements and provide improvement recommendations as needed.
- Immediately reports quality, safety and/or environmental problems and follow-up on their resolution.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs, and work in various positions, such as standing, bending, kneeling etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager, supervisor and/or lead person.
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience in quality control or other related fields
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
