Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead and oversee our operations in the Polyethylene Packaging sector. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of industry experience and demonstrate deep technical and strategic knowledge in maintenance, operations, and commercial practices specific to polyethylene packaging. This role demands strong leadership, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations across Maintenance, Operations, and Commercial departments, managing a total team of approximately 120 employees.

Ensure alignment with organizational goals related to safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.

Lead initiatives in preventative, current, shutdown, and project maintenance.

Champion and enforce warehouse safety standards and OSHA compliance.

Maintain and improve quality control systems for polyethylene film, wood pallets, and hooding processes.

Drive continuous improvement efforts across production lines and commercial processes.

Leverage data analysis and project management tools to support strategic decision-making.

Collaborate with executive leadership on commercial strategies, resource planning, and cost control initiatives.

Resolve conflicts effectively and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and implement timely solutions.

Adapt to a dynamic schedule and respond to operational needs as they arise.
Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in the packaging industry, with a focus on polyethylene manufacturing.

Proven expertise in maintenance, operations, and commercial standards.

Strong leadership background with hands-on experience in:

High proficiency in:

Safety standards (warehousing environment)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
