Farmers Branch client is needing a seasoned and versatile Shipping & Receiving Clerk.
Position Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring materials move efficiently through the warehouse. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate records and supporting on-time delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents
- • Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues to supervisors
- • Process and record received goods in the ERP or warehouse management system
- • Prepare and process outgoing shipments including packing lists, bills of lading (BOL), and shipping bhcls
- • Coordinate with carriers, freight companies, and internal departments to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Stage finished goods and materials for shipment
- Ensure shipments meet customer requirements and packaging standards
- • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and documentation
- • Assist with inventory control including cycle counts and stock verification
- • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed
- • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area
- • Communicate with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams regarding shipment status and material availability
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years' experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
- Experience preparing shipping documentation such as bills of lading and packing lists
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Experience working with LTL< FTL, and parcel shipments
- Familiarity with freight carriers and logistics scheduling
- Experience with barcode scanners and inventory systems
- Experience in manufacturing and distribution
