3 DAY ASSIGNMENT
Job Description
Responsible for attending to internal staff, external visitors and addressing inquiries by phone as well as face-to-face. Supplies information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and customers. Documents and reports on phone and face-to-face intake inquiries and forwards to the applicable department(s).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE
- Answer the phone and greet employees, customers, clients, and guests in a cordial and professional manner.
- Direct incoming calls to appropriate personnel and take messages or refer to voice mail in their absence.
- Address external inquiries about Envision Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
- Greet and assist customers when they walk-thru the door.
- Register employees for DART coupon books to be payroll deduct (cash may be involved)
- Direct incoming food deliveries to the appropriate location in the building for all employees.
- Serves as a point-of-contact to call or direct police, fire and other first responders.
- Maintain physical appearance of the reception area.
- Maintains self-appearance as a representative of the company.
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS-JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Minimum 1-year in customer-service is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a plus.
- Possess a good work attitude and a willingness to carry out instructions and duties as assigned, while working with all Envision Dallas employees as a team.
- Excellent work ethic and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned
