A parts manager oversees the procurement, inventory, and distribution of parts, often in industries like automotive or machineryThey ensure parts are available when needed, manage supplier relationships, and maintain accurate inventory records. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of inventory management principles. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
    • Inventory Management:
      Maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing stock rotation, and minimizing obsolescence. 
       
    • Procurement:
      Ordering parts, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely deliveries. 
       
  • Distribution:
    Overseeing the storage, handling, and distribution of parts to various departments or customers. 
     
  • Staff Management:
    Supervising and training parts department staff, including assigning tasks, setting schedules, and evaluating performance. 
     
  • Customer Service:
    Assisting customers with parts selection, providing quotes, and resolving issues. 
     
  • Financial Management:
    Managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability within the parts department. 
     
  • Compliance:
    Ensuring adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards. 
     
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate and manage a team, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
