Job Full Description
Responsible in planning, coordinating and monitoring of manufactured processes, and provides administrative support to production staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Meet with production supervisors to discuss progress and compile reports on production volume, quality control and material inventory.
- Review technical documentation that comes from the Engineering dept.
- Arrange for delivery, assembly, and distribution of supplies and parts in order to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
- Calculate figures such as required amounts of labor and materials, manufacturing costs, and wages, using pricing schedules, adding machines, calculators, or computers.
- Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and purchase, maintenance, and repair orders.
- Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
- Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate pricing, production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Must follow instructions with accuracy and due diligence.
- Schedule meetings and keep track of daily appointments for production manager.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
- Assist in other areas when needed or as directed by the Manufacturing and Production Manager.
Qualifications:
- Prior background in a manufacturing office environment helpful but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with moderate to advanced skills in Excel and Word.
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Organize and prioritize work using knowledge of current office technology and business methods, personal computer and software applications.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Strong organizational and time management, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
- Efficient and meets deadlines.
- Excellent communication skill both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in basic office skills (i.e. typing, filing, record keeping).
Preferred Skills:
- Prior knowledge of Microsoft D365/Dynamics or other major MRP Systems highly desired.
- OSHA knowledge or certification
- Experience with ISO 9001, and/or AAR M-1003 QMS
