Job Full Description

Responsible in planning, coordinating and monitoring of manufactured processes, and provides administrative support to production staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Meet with production supervisors to discuss progress and compile reports on production volume, quality control and material inventory.
  • Review technical documentation that comes from the Engineering dept.
  • Arrange for delivery, assembly, and distribution of supplies and parts in order to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
  • Calculate figures such as required amounts of labor and materials, manufacturing costs, and wages, using pricing schedules, adding machines, calculators, or computers.
  • Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequences, transportation, personnel schedules, and purchase, maintenance, and repair orders.
  • Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed.
  • Confer with establishment personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate pricing, production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Must follow instructions with accuracy and due diligence.
  • Schedule meetings and keep track of daily appointments for production manager.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.
  • Assist in other areas when needed or as directed by the Manufacturing and Production Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Prior background in a manufacturing office environment helpful but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with moderate to advanced skills in Excel and Word.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Organize and prioritize work using knowledge of current office technology and business methods, personal computer and software applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Efficient and meets deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skill both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in basic office skills (i.e. typing, filing, record keeping).

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior knowledge of Microsoft D365/Dynamics or other major MRP Systems highly desired.
  • OSHA knowledge or certification
  • Experience with ISO 9001, and/or AAR M-1003 QMS
