Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the field. The ideal candidate must be able to read blueprints, set up, program, and operate CNC machines independently, with a strong understanding of G-Code. This position requires physical stamina, as heavy lifting, standing, bending, stooping, and walking are essential components of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machine setup and operations.
  • Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) accurately and efficiently with minimal to no assistance.
  • Program CNC machines using G-Code, ensuring precise execution of machining operations.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality tools according to specifications.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment, programming, and production processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate production records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proven ability to independently set up, program, and operate CNC machines.
  • Strong working knowledge of G-Code programming.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and sustain prolonged periods of standing, bending, stooping, and walking.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and move heavy objects as required, up to company safety limits.
  • Stand for extended periods during the shift.
  • Bend, stoop, and walk frequently throughout the workday.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility with exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, and occasional temperature variations. Safety is a top priority.
