Job Full Description

  • A Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing the suppliers of goods or services for an organization. They help ensure that a company obtains the right products at the best price, while maintaining quality and meeting project requirements. The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, products, or services.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supplier Research & Identification

    1. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers for goods and services.
    2. Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and capability.
    Sourcing & Procurement

    1. Source materials, products, or services as per company requirements and standards.
    2. Issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and conduct bid analysis.
    3. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers.
    4. Build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
    Supplier Evaluation & Performance

    1. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
    2. Work with suppliers to resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or cost.
    3. Perform supplier audits to ensure continued performance improvement.
    Cost Management

    1. Analyze cost structures and recommend ways to reduce expenses without compromising on quality.
    2. Ensure purchasing decisions align with budgetary goals and company financial objectives.
    Collaboration & Communication
    1. Work closely with internal departments (e.g., production and supply chain) to ensure sourcing meets operational needs.
    2. Maintain communication with suppliers, resolve disputes, and ensure timely deliveries.
    Reporting & Documentation

    1. Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
    2. Prepare and present sourcing reports to management as required.
    3. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
