Job Full Description
Hours: Mon, Tues, Wed, Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, Payroll is Thursdays with longer days 8:00 am - 2:30pm (with 30 min lunch). Approximately 22-26 hours/week.
Level 1 - Payroll Clerk
* Daily payroll reconciliation using our online system, BusyBusy. Communicate to our foremen in the field via phone and email to correct any issues and enter new employees into the system.
* Prepare and schedule FedEx shipments to deliver payroll checks to out of town projects.
* Run weekly payroll macro to create the final payroll excel spreadsheet. Update as needed and use other excel reports for the week to finalize payroll.
* Enter final payroll information into our payroll generator, StarBuilder to print paychecks each week.
* Maintain Safety Meeting announcements to foremen each month.
* Maintain OSHA Training excel spreadsheet.
Level 2 - Payroll Assistant
* All items from Level 1
* Payroll reporting each week from StarBuilder.
* Bank reconciliation - transfers from general account to payroll account.
* Bank reporting daily/weekly/monthly to owner
* Payroll taxes
* Federal taxes (send W-2s in December/January)
* Payroll forecasting to owner
