Job Title: Cook Assistant / Kitchen Assistant
Pay: $15 - $16 DOE
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook Assistant to support kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all food safety standards are followed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist cooks with food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and basic cooking tasks

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines at all times

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
-
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies

Support meal service by plating, garnishing, and preparing items as directed

Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Follow recipes and instructions provided by kitchen leadership

Comply with company policies and health department regulations
Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (required)

Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–40 lbs as needed

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
