Job Full Description
Job Summary:
The Material Handler Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the daily operations of the Material Handler Team. This person must maintain open communication between the Lead Material Handler and necessary Office Employees, to maintain proper supply chain procedures and ensure inventory is received, stored, and issued accurately and properly.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Loading and unloading of materials within the warehouse and storage facility
• Inspection of material being received
• Performing Receipt of Goods
• Entering product nonconformances into QCBD
• Conducting Cycle Counts
• Assist in the training of lower-level material handlers
• Coordinates with Safety Manager for shop safety training
• Assigns duties to material handlers
• Warns and disciplines employees not working to company standards
• Ensure all material issues are assigned, and completed correctly
• Conducts Probation Period Reviews and Performance Reviews
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function
• Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job
• Managerial or supervisory experience required
• 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills and awareness of all health and safety protocols
• Manages time efficiently
• Can multi-task effectively
• Pays attention to detail
• Able to stand for long periods and lift to 50 pounds.
• Is qualified to operate heavy machinery (Sit down forklift up to 12,000 lbs.)
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and smart devices
Work schedule
• Monday- Friday 6:30 am-3:00 pm, overtime as needed
PPE Required:
• Hearing Protection (will be provided by the company)
• Hard Hat (will be provided by the company)
• Eye Protection (will be provided by the company)
• Steel toe boots
Work Environment:
This job operates in a manufacturing plant. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts and cranes.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to kneel; stoop; bend; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
