Job Full Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable General Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep and efficient operation of a residential community and an affiliated thrift store. This role involves performing routine maintenance, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance to help ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents, staff, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.

Complete general maintenance and repair tasks including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs.

Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.

Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and service records.

Ensure facilities comply with safety standards and building regulations.

Coordinate with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are required.

Assist with general upkeep such as replacing fixtures, repairing doors, maintaining lighting, and other facility improvements.

Support seasonal maintenance tasks and general property upkeep.
Qualifications:

1–2 years of experience in facilities, property, or general maintenance preferred.

Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and repair techniques.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
