Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a client in Rosenberg, TX seeking a Glomar Line Operator. This is an entry-level position that will be trained in various aspects of a powder coating conveyor line, supporting the coating of tank parts in a manufacturing environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials onto the production line
- Verify materials using work orders prior to loading/unloading
- Ensure accuracy of packaging and labeling for shipments
- Assemble wooden pallets according to job specifications using hand and power tools
- Notify supervisor of any material or supply shortages
- Inspect finished materials to ensure quality standards are met
- Sort and organize materials by job numbers
- Assist in powder coating processes including sanding, grinding, and cleaning as needed
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the department
- Operate overhead cranes and vacuum lifters
- Use respiratory protection when grinding, blasting, or powder coating
- Perform quality control checks (holiday testing, dry film thickness measurement, visual inspections)
- Work in a high-noise environment using proper hearing protection
- Apply liquid paint for touch-ups using brushes or spray cans
- Work in confined spaces while following safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Essential Functions
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
- Basic English communication skills (speak and comprehend)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Qualifications & Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting above 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motion
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and extreme temperatures
- Work performed around moving machinery and in industrial conditions
- Use of PPE required, including respiratory and hearing protection
