Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Longview is recruiting for a large Longview plastics manufacturer that is seeking a Quality Control Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Coordinate document preparation and certifications for audits and act as the main point of contact for audits with regulatory and third-party compliance. Lead internal audits as well.
- Identify, document, and communicate with production and warehouse operations on non-compliant issues and hold and release procedures.
- The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented SQF Practitioner who will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of QA processes, ensuring that all products meet established safety and quality specifications.
- Oversee quality processes including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product release.
- Conduct root cause analysis and lean corrective and preventative action initiatives.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Education & Experience Preferences:
- S. Degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field
- Certified in HACCP; SQF Practitioner designation or eligibility required
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP’s and food safety standards.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and quality management software.
- Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
- Minimum of five years of experience in flexible packaging, or blown film experience preferred.
