Yard Worker / Material Handler

Position Summary
Responsible for supporting warehouse and yard operations for a company specializing in metal buildings, roofing, siding, and metal building components for residential and commercial customers. This role involves order fulfillment, material handling, equipment operation, and customer service in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, locate, and pull customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Identify and handle steel parts, roofing materials, siding, and building components.
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials in the warehouse and outdoor yard.
- Operate forklifts to transport and stage materials within the warehouse.
- Operate a SkyTrak (telehandler) to move and distribute materials in the yard.
- Assist customers with material pickup and order verification.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and equipment operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or yard work preferred.
- Knowledge of steel products and building materials preferred.
- Forklift operating experience required.
- Experience operating a SkyTrak/telehandler is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when pulling orders.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Overtime and Saturdays as needed
Compensation
- Starting pay: $18.00 per hour or higher based on experience
