Express Employment Professionals is now hiring an experienced Sandblaster/Paint Prep Technician for a large manufacturing company in Longview, TX.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Sandblaster/Paint Prep Technician with at least 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces for painting by removing rust, paint, dirt, and other contaminants while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting equipment to remove paint, rust, dirt, and other surface contaminants
- Prepare surfaces for painting to ensure proper coating adhesion and quality
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of sandblasting equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and project deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sandblasting and/or paint prep experience
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
