Job Full Description
• Maintain and secure all personnel records (digital and hard copy) in accordance with federal and state laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, I 9 requirements, etc.)
• Ensure company policies, employee handbook, job descriptions, and HR procedures remain up to date and compliant.
• Administer FMLA, leave-of-absence requests, accommodations, and disciplinary documentation.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits (e.g., workers’ comp, payroll, insurance, etc.).
• Prepare required compliance reports, unemployment responses, and workers’ compensation documentation.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting: drafting job descriptions, job posting, screening applicants, interviewing, reference checks, and coordinating hiring decisions.
• Develop relationships with local technical schools, workforce boards, and community organizations to build talent pipelines.
• Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience
• Conduct new hire orientation, safety training coordination, benefits enrolment, and plant onboarding.
• Partner with department managers to identify training needs and schedule internal and external training.
• Track employee certifications, annual training, and skills development progress.
• Serve as a daily point of contact for employee questions, concerns, conflicts, and workplace issues.
• Facilitate positive employee relations, helping resolve concerns before they escalate.
• Support and monitor adherence to the Code of Conduct, plant rules, attendance policy, and performance expectations.
• Assist management with coaching, documentation, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
• Enforce policies and procedures aligned with a safe, professional and respectful work environment
• Administer and explain employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO, etc.).
• Assist employees with benefits questions, claims issues, life event changes, and enrolment processes.
• Conduct annual open enrolment and coordinate benefits changes with carriers and payroll.
• Process biweekly and monthly payroll. Prepare journal entries and process all associated items with payroll (including child support garnishments, 401(k) computations and payment, H.S.A. payroll deductions)
• Review timekeeping issues (attendance, missed punches, wage adjustments). Calculate and edit PTO and OT for each payroll. Also update wage rates as need. Verify that correct wage rates are being used for all payrolls.
• Maintain benefit deductions in ADP. Reconcile the payroll deduction accounts monthly
• Maintain all PTO and Parental leave balances. Prepare Vacation entries for monthly and year end journal entries.
• Perform payroll-related compliance needs (W 2 corrections, year-end processing, etc.) regularly
