Location: Sunnyvale, TX
Pay: $17–$20 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Available during the week and weekends as needed based on business needs

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plasma Table Operator for a manufacturing facility in the Sunnyvale, TX area. This is a 1st shift position responsible for operating plasma cutting equipment to cut and shape metal components according to blueprints and work orders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and willing to cross-train in other production areas as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, work orders, and templates
- Cut, trim, scarf, contour, and bevel metal plates and structural shapes using plasma cutting equipment
- Select and install plasma tips, electrodes, and gas nozzles
- Set and adjust gas pressure, amperage, cutting speed, and other machine settings based on metal type and thickness
- Enter commands or manually adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions
- Operate jib cranes and/or overhead cranes to move and position materials onto the plasma table
- Strike arc and guide electrodes along marked lines to cut or melt metal
- Adjust gas flow to remove molten metal during cutting operations
- Remove chips or spurs and burn out cracks or holes as required
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist in other departments and cross-train as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of plasma table operation experience
- 3+ years of blueprint reading and interpretation
- 3+ years operating overhead cranes and/or jib cranes
- 3+ years using hand tools and power tools
- 3+ years using arc-cutting and metal cutting equipment
- Strong knowledge of machine and shop safety practices
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Commitment to keeping the work area clean and debris-free
- Steel-toed boots required
