Position:Diesel Mechanic
Location: Wilmer, TX
Pay: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Diesel Technician to join our team in Wilmer, TX. This position focuses on the maintenance and repair of diesel pickup trucks such as Ford, Dodge/Ram, Chevrolet, and similar models. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel systems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and values a consistent weekday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel pickup trucks
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brakes, filters, and inspections
- Service diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, and emissions components
- Diagnose drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues accurately
- Complete repairs efficiently while following safety and quality standards
- Communicate repair needs and vehicle conditions clearly
- Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements
- Experience working on diesel vehicles (Ford Power Stroke, Cummins, Duramax preferred)
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting
- Own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided if applicable)
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Diesel certifications or technical training
- Previous dealership or fleet experience
- Familiarity with scan tools and diagnostic software
