Job Full Description
Title: Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate
Location: Mesquite, Texas
Pay: $17/hr
Hour: Monday-Friday between 7am-4:00pm or 9am-6pm (start and end times are negotiable but must work every other Saturday)
Type: Temp to Perm
Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing inventory
- Coordinate with other warehouse team members to maintain an organized and accurate inventory
- Pulling orders
- Unloading containers
- Stocking inventory
- Driving company truck to pick up materials at manufacturers (occasional driving must have valid driver’s license)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Must be trainable on how to drive sit down forklift, stand up forklift, cherry picker and a reach truck
- 2 – 3 years related experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Knowledge of safe lifting technique to load and unload cargo, including heavy, bulky, and/or cumbersome freight.
- Prior experience operating forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks for the purposes of moving, loading, arranging, rearranging, and unloading freight.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions given orally or in writing, including those on manifests and other shipping documents
- Ability to perform work required in a timely manner and to maintain adequate productivity in order to meet service schedules and customer commitments
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
- Ability to maintain good attendance
- Have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
