Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | On-call rotation may be required
Travel: Local travel between properties – valid driver’s license required
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in supporting the upkeep of multiple commercial properties throughout the Greater Austin area. This hands-on role is ideal for a self-starter with a broad maintenance background who enjoys a dynamic and independent work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance for commercial buildings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements.
- Handle basic electrical work including lighting, outlets, switches, and minor wiring tasks.
- Conduct general painting, drywall repairs, and touch-ups for interior and exterior surfaces.
- Perform routine HVAC inspections and light maintenance (filter changes, belt checks, basic diagnostics).
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure tools and supplies are in working order.
- Provide responsive service to property management teams and tenant requests.
- Travel locally between multiple sites as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a commercial setting.
- Competency in plumbing, electrical, painting, and HVAC support.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders, and perform physically active duties.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC certification or relevant technical training is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance work orders or blueprints.
- Experience across multiple building systems and environments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
