📍 Location: Cedar Park, TX
🕐 1st Shift | Pay: DOE (Depends on Experience)
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined professional to join a local manufacturer specializing in high-quality components. This position involves hands-on work assembling precision mechanical parts and subassemblies in a production setting.
Position Overview
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will build and assemble precision components using metal parts, hardware, and tools. You’ll interpret technical documents and follow structured processes to ensure assemblies meet quality and performance standards.
What You'll Be Doing

Assemble mechanical units and systems from individual metal parts and hardware

Work with detailed blueprints and technical documents to guide the build process

Use tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, and other measuring instruments
-
Conduct inspections on parts to ensure quality before and after assembly
-
Ensure all assembled products meet functional and dimensional criteria
-
Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing protocols
-
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
-
Coordinate with quality and engineering teams to resolve technical issues
-
Contribute to ongoing process improvements and efficiency efforts

Keep your workstation neat and comply with cleanliness and safety standards
Skills & Experience We're Looking For
Required:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
2+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly
-
Proficiency reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics
-
Skilled in using hand tools, measurement devices, and assembly equipment
-
Familiarity with working around sheet metal and machined parts
-
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the workday
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred:
-
Background in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing
-
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
-
Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts
-
Experience with ERP or MRP systems for tracking production work
Work Environment
-
Manufacturing floor setting with some exposure to noise, dust, and shop materials (PPE provided)

Must be open to occasional overtime or schedule flexibility based on demand
