This company is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their growing production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who are detail-oriented and eager to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Full-time | Overtime Possible
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour DOE
Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical subassemblies using sheet metal, machined parts, fasteners, and hardware.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Operate hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Inspect incoming parts for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Follow established work instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
- 1+ year of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of a trade/technical program.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Proficiency with basic mechanical assembly tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills.
Working Conditions:
- Shop floor/manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals (PPE provided).
- May require overtime or flexible shifts depending on production needs.
