Job Full Description
A leading manufacturing company in the Round Rock area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving facility systems and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations across multiple buildings.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment with minimal supervision.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00am – 5:00pm | Overtime as needed
Pay: $20–$30 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including HVAC, air compressors, and water treatment systems.
- Install and maintain air lines, electrical wiring, conduits, and boxes as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on facilities equipment using a CMMS system.
- Conduct general building maintenance, such as sheetrock repairs and painting.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental health standards at all times.
- Support 5S/6S facility organization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide timely communication to leadership regarding facility conditions or maintenance impacts on production.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or industrial repair.
- Proven experience troubleshooting electrical (110–480 VAC), mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency with basic PC applications and work order tracking systems.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work safely at heights up to 20 feet.
Preferred Skills (Training Available if Needed)
- Operation of industrial equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, and high-reach lifts.
- Experience with machine shop tools (mills, lathes, CNC equipment, saws).
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, and building controls.
