Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a well-established industrial organization in the Hutto area that supports manufacturing and infrastructure-related operations. This company is recognized for its commitment to quality, operational efficiency, and strong vendor partnerships.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to manage purchasing functions, vendor coordination, and inventory support in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities, including creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders
- Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and order status
- Support inventory tracking and assist with inventory-related processes
- Monitor order fulfillment to ensure materials are delivered accurately and on schedule
- Utilize Excel to track purchasing data, pricing, and inventory information
- Prepare and review purchasing documentation and basic presentations using OnePoint and PowerPoint
- Collaborate with internal departments to support production and operational needs
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with internal procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial services, construction, distribution, electrical, mechanical, or infrastructure-related environments
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint required
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (not required, but highly preferred)
