Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a well-established structural steel and sign installation company seeking an experienced Structural Steel Welder / Installer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder who enjoys hands-on field work, independent projects, and travel-based assignments.
Pay: $20–$40/hour (Up to $100,000 annually)
Location: Field-based with travel to Kansas, San Antonio, and Dallas
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and Stick welding on structural steel components
- Assist in the erection and installation of steel structures
- Complete prep work including measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting materials
- Troubleshoot welding and structural installation issues in the field
- Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings/diagrams
- Install sign rails and supporting structural components
- Work independently on job sites with minimal supervision
- Operate company vehicle to travel between job locations
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience with MIG, Stick welding, and structural steel erection
- Ability to interpret blueprints and installation diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and in field-based environments
- Must be able to travel regularly to Kansas, San Antonio, or Dallas
- Valid Driver’s License required (company vehicle provided)
