Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM (Overtime as needed, typically extending after the shift)

Job Summary

A leading manufacturing company in the Cedar Park area is seeking an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator for a temporary assignment. This position focuses on precision sheet metal fabrication and TIG (GTAW) welding, producing high-quality welds on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel components. Candidates must be able to work independently with minimal supervision on the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform TIG (GTAW) welding, fitting, tack welding, grinding, and finishing.
  • Fabricate and assemble precision sheet metal components.
  • Weld thin-gauge stainless steel and aluminum (down to .036"/20 gauge preferred).
  • Complete finishing work to ensure clean, seamless welds.
  • Perform drilling, tapping, countersinking, and hardware installation.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Complete production documentation and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of TIG welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • TIG/GTAW welding experience is required and must be clearly listed on your resume.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Experience with thin-gauge sheet metal fabrication is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Experience grinding and finishing welds to a high cosmetic standard.
  • Structural welding experience alone is not a good fit for this role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Immediate availability is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Spot welding, stud welding, or robotic welding.
  • Overhead crane operation.
  • High-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and moving equipment while wearing required PPE.
