Polisher – 2nd Shift | $20–$22/hr | Full-Time
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Metal Polisher to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in metal polishing, grinding, deburring, surface finishing, machining, or manufacturing who takes pride in producing high-quality finished parts.
The ideal candidate is comfortable using hand and power tools, understands the importance of maintaining part dimensions, and can work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- · Polish material and parts to correct defects or prepare surfaces for further finishing using hand and power tools.
- · Apply the appropriate amount of pressure during the polishing process while ensuring part dimensions remain within specifications.
- · Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, earplugs, face masks, and other required safety equipment.
- · Inspect and replace machine consumables and evaluate equipment operation to ensure performance is adequate.
- · Collaborate with engineering and machining teams to design and use holding fixtures and attachments that improve machine processes and performance.
- · Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
- · Work as a team member to support and maintain departmental standards, including quality and on-time delivery goals.
- · Inspect finished parts for quality, appearance, workmanship, and adherence to specifications.
- · Operate appropriate polishing, grinding, and surface-finishing equipment.
- · Identify defects and make necessary corrections to achieve the required finish.
- · Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- · Perform a variety of complicated manufacturing, polishing, and finishing tasks as required.
