Job Full Description
Our client, a manufacturing company in Northeast San Antonio, is looking for a Production Associate for a long term opportunity. Pay is $16.70/hour. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 5AM-3PM, with paid breaks!
Duties for the Production Associate position include:
- Glue/attach Styrofoam blocks onto cardboard
- Inject chemicals into mold to form styrofoam packaging materials
- Wrap pallets and warehouse duties such as loading, unloading and moving materials
- Responsible for starting and operating mixer/production line
- Empty production line into pallets for WIP or finished goods
- Keep count of inventory produced during shift
- Help keep track of actual downtime and cause
- Ensure proper packaging materials are used for product type
- Responsible for building pallets to keep up with product output
- Unload/load trucks and stage products into correct location
- Periodically inspect for quality issues. May be done visually or with tools
- Keep the work area clean using 6S process
Requirements for the Production Associate position are:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- General work experience in manufacturing or similar preferred
- Able to work on feet all day - wearing Steel Toed Boots and other PPE
- Able to take instruction and perform repetitive production tasks
