Our client, a family-owned heavy-equipment company in Northeast San Antonio, is looking for a Diesel/Hydraulic Field Mechanic for a long term, evaluation-hire opportunity. Pay is $20-26 an hour depending on experience. The company is looking for someone to become part of the team. It’s a great opportunity to join a close-knit community. Duties for the Diesel/Hydraulic Field Mechanic position include:
- Install, Maintain and Repair heavy equipment hydraulic and electrical systems
- Repair or Replace malfunctioning components
- Troubleshoot on engines and equipment
- Perform Diagnostics
- Disassemble/Restore various mechanical/electrical devices
- Hydraulic Experience
- Will drive to multiple job sites to repair/replace and diagnose heavy equipment
Requirements for the Diesel/Hydraulic Field Mechanist position are:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent and/or certification(s) from Technical school
- At least 3-5 years of Mechanic experience - particularly with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Previous experience with heavy equipment repair
- Must have a strong understanding of heavy equipment repair, a good knowledge of troubleshooting/diagnostics and precision measuring instruments
- Good Driving record with Active Texas Class A-Preferred, B, C Driver's License
- Must have own tools!! No exceptions!!

This is a long term, evaluation hire opportunity. Hours for the Diesel/Hydraulic Field Mechanic position are 8am to 5pm Monday through Thursday. Pay is $20-$26 an hour depending on experience.
