JOB TITLE: Area Sales Manager – CPG Company
REPORTS TO: Regional Sales Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

?? POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales initiatives within your assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consumer-packaged goods, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for achieving sales targets. This role reports directly to the Divisional Sales Manager.
?? ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Territory Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive territory plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and challenges
- Sales Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team
- Provide coaching and mentoring to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed
- Customer Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and distributors
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
- Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Promotional Activities
- Coordinate and execute promotional activities, product launches, and events to increase brand awareness and drive sales
- Forecasting and Reporting
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the Divisional Sales Manager
- Analyze data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
?? QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field—or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in consumer-packaged goods sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of the Florida market and consumer behavior
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
