JOB TITLE: Area Sales Manager – CPG Company
REPORTS TO: Regional Sales Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt

?? POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales initiatives within your assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consumer-packaged goods, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for achieving sales targets. This role reports directly to the Divisional Sales Manager.

?? ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Territory Management
  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and challenges
  1. Sales Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed
  1. Customer Relationship Management
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and distributors
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
  1. Sales Strategy and Execution
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  1. Promotional Activities
  • Coordinate and execute promotional activities, product launches, and events to increase brand awareness and drive sales
  1. Forecasting and Reporting
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the Divisional Sales Manager
  • Analyze data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions

?? QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field—or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in consumer-packaged goods sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the Florida market and consumer behavior
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
